The sheet is printed with no top or bottom layers: just the infill, like a mesh. That is why it stretches when you heat it.

How to thermoform it

Print the mold in PETG and the piece in PLA: the sheets, the closure and, if any, the color details with an AMS. PLA does not stick to PETG.
Place the sheet on the form, mesh side down, and heat it with a heat gun or hair dryer until it is soft.
Push the ring firmly down to the base: it pushes the reinforcement rim and the mesh takes the shape. Hold it for 30 seconds while it cools.
Repeat with the back sheet (if its shape is mirrored, flip the ring over). Fill it and close both halves: with the band, the clips, or the rings and the screw cap.
Wear gloves: the sheet and the hot air can burn.

3D Thermoforming.

Turns the outline of a photo, an SVG or a drawing into a domed piece made from a mesh sheet: you print it flat, heat it and press it over a mold, also printed. Great for candy boxes, bags, ornaments, signs and gifts.

1. Pick the shape. Upload a photo or an SVG with a plain background, draw it by hand or use a dome, a heart or a star. Adjust the width and height.
2. Choose the mesh and the opening. The mesh type and thickness, a domed or flat back, and how it opens: press-fit band, clips, a hinge (like a book) or a screw cap.
3. Download and print. The mold in PETG and the sheets in PLA, with the settings already applied for Bambu Studio. Your photo is processed in your browser: it is never uploaded to any server.
